into vision

I have towards others

A Poet's Confession

I have stolen
many writing utensils
in order to write down
an idea for a poem
or even the poem itself
before I forget it

yesterday afternoon
was a perfect example

in a thrift store
I tore open
a plastic bag
to retrieve
a red ballpoint

this was one
of those poems

I believe
this makes you
an accomplice
